Call for Humanity!

Last few decades have witnessed the evaporation of humanity from the face of earth. Instances like the Californian couple case where a 11 year old girl abducted for 18 long years, she was raped repeatedly, she became pregnant at the age of 14.

This case puts a question mark on the accountability of our cops.
How can a person keep a girl for 18years. What was the police doing in the missing FIR?

Another case happened in Rajasthan (India) where a principal raped his 14 year old student twice until she broke down to her mother.
Victims are often traumatized by the severity of the crime. Justice is hardly achieved instead their life becomes hell. Society never misses an opportunity to further humiliate them at different phases of life.

All this generally amounts for the girl giving up her life. Generally the victims become a source of TRP for media, a reason for the opposition to criticize the ruling government but does all this in any form benefits the victim? So, I feel that these girls were not only raped by the accused even by the society is equally responsible for not accepting them as they were before.

Where is the love and respect for women have gone on this planet? Why people have become so violent? Why girls are afraid of moving out alone? Why we put atrocities on them?I don’t have the answers but I deeply repent to witness this.

Such tortures have made me feel that we are no more human beings, socially we are heading back to the stone age.

Inspite of all the laws made in favor of women, crime against women is constantly rising. The laws are highly misused by few and many are still becoming victim to various atrocities.

It has become very important to teach the young children in our house to protect themselves against such crimes. Both boys and girls can be abused. Parents have to be very careful.

People have lost humanity on many grounds. Such incidents occurring is very unfortunate. I think we should get back to our basic and start being courteous to people around.
